Senior Attorney – Branch Managing Attorney (Ft. Walton Beach)
Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a Senior Attorney for the Fort Walton Beach Office. This Senior Attorney will manage the law firm branch and supervise the activities of the support staff and attorneys in addition to maintaining a caseload. Applicant must have at least five years of experience practicing law and be a member of The Florida Bar. Applicant should have strong leadership skills, passion to serve vulnerable populations, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people. Experience with a legal services organization is desired.
Entry-level compensation of $68,500 is negotiable depending on experience. Comprehensive fringe benefits package includes paid holidays, vacation leave (which after two years, increases to five weeks per year), and sick leave benefits. After sixty days of full-time employment, employees are offered 100% paid health insurance for employee & dependent children. Elder Justice Community Outreach Project Manager (Tallahassee)
Legal Services of North Florida is seeking to hire a full-time Elder Justice Community Project Manager to provide support for its Administration for Community Living Florida Legal Aid Enhancement Project – a project focused on improving access to legal assistance for elders with critical needs. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordination and implementation of this project, including the coordination with statewide partner Legal Services of Greater Miami.
Responsibilities and duties include convening and document project meetings, monitoring and tracking project plan progress, implementing components of an approved project plan, supporting project staff in developing and maintaining stakeholder relations, meeting budgetary objectives and adjusting as needed, developing community education and outreach materials using various tools such as Canva and Animaker, creating social media and website posts, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Interested candidates should have a college degree or equivalent field experience in the provision of community-based services. Applicants should have proven working experience that reflects strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a high-level of comfort with technology and systems development. Ability to work independently and in team environments, to analyze complex issues and to obtain results to positively impact the client and overall community will also be considered. The position will report to the LSNF Executive Director.
Compensation is annualized at $33,000/year. THIS IS SHORT-TERM position set to end on August 31, 2021, absent continuation funding obtained for this project role.

Director of Philanthropy (Pensacola)
Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a full-time Director of Philanthropy. This staff member is responsible for the oversight, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive fundraising program to secure significant financial resources from individuals, foundations, and others to support LSNF’s mission. This staff member manages all major gifts functions, including planned giving, donor engagement, fundraising campaigns, and fundraising event coordination. The Director of Philanthropy supervises the Development Assistant and other externs or volunteers supporting philanthropic programming. Along with LSNF’s Executive Director, the Director of Philanthropy supports the Board of Directors by staffing the Development Committee. The Director of Philanthropy will also work closely with the Communications and Pro Bono staff, as well as all LSNF staff as needed.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university (Master’s Degree preferred) and a minimum of three years of experience in fundraising for a nonprofit organization. Project management, strong organizational skills, ability to set objectives, strong writing skills, and ability to motivate donors, volunteers, and philanthropic partners are key aptitudes for this position.

Reports to: Director of Pro Bono & Volunteer Engagement of Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF)
The selected student will support LSNF’s pro bono program by educating law students on their pro bono and related hands-on opportunities to serve clients through LSNF, while at the same time helping LSNF develop opportunities of interest and benefit to the education of law students. Second Year (2L) students are preferred; we are in search of a candidate who could make a 12-18 month commitment. Strong analytical skills, a desire to network with peers, administrators, faculty, and community partners is required, as well as current, active participation in one or more FSU College of Law activities and/or extracurricular organizations. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in legal aid organizations or pro bono service through a combination of coursework and/or practical experience. The position is part-time (not to exceed 20 hours/week) and paid at a rate of $15/hour. The role is expected to begin during the Spring 2021 semester.
