Legal Services of North Florida, with the support of the Legal Services Corporation, will be hosting the inaugural Florida Disaster Collaboration Conference! Join us March 22 – 23 2022 in Orlando as we bring together those who respond to disasters and bridge the gap between legal aid and disaster response groups.

Weather systems continue to heavily impact Florida. Long-term recovery is becoming increasingly critical, along with creating cross-collaborative response plans – bringing agencies, nonprofits, and businesses together to ensure that Florida is prepared to respond to the next disaster.

Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) successfully held the first North Florida Disaster Collaboration Conference in Panama City in 2019. The day was filled with educational and meaningful presentations and the opportunity to interact with other disaster specialists, responders and community partners who support survivors and their communities

LSNF is excited to bring the Disaster Collaboration Conference to a statewide stage in March 2022. Agenda, speakers, and more information coming soon. Stay up-to-date by joining our Disaster Response Email Newsletter today!

About the Florida Disaster Collaboration Conference

This conference aims to provide a network between first responders, government and non-government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community partners closely tied with disaster response so that we can best inform each other and survivors about the services we each provide. LSNF seeks to bridge the gap between conventional disaster response and preparedness and the use of legal solutions to respond to issues and challenges that follow natural disasters. To accomplish these goals the Florida Disaster Collaboration Conference will emphasize:

    • Forming collaborative partnerships and working together to benefit disaster survivors
    • The exchange of information and expertise among legal and non-legal responders to disaster
    • Fostering strong alliances to promote partnerships that enhance everyone’s efforts and impact
