City of Pensacola Partners with Legal Services North Florida to Offer Free Legal Assistance at Gull Point Resource Center

Legal Services of North Florida, in partnership with the City of Pensacola, is excited to announce two upcoming opportunities at Gull Point Resource Center to provide free legal services for those in the community who cannot afford them. LSNF provides free civil (non-criminal) legal help to qualifying residents through legal advice, brief representation, and full representation.

LSNF will host two upcoming events at the City of Pensacola’s Gull Point Resource Center, located at 7000 Spanish Trail:

  • Wednesday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to noon: LSNF staff will assist individuals with the application process for requesting legal help with issues like family law, landlord-tenant disputes, foreclosures, bankruptcies, wills and estates, probate, and more. While assistance with the application process will be available, no legal advice will be given at this clinic.
  • Saturday, April 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: LSNF staff will be available to provide legal help on a first-come, first-served basis. Those with questions should bring any documents or materials related to their questions. Attorneys will be able to help with areas of law including landlord-tenant issues, title clearing and probate, family law, fair housing, tax issues, and many other legal issues. For more information or to set up an appointment, contact 850-701-4231.

Additionally, LSNF provides ongoing Justice on the Block legal clinics every month through the Lawyers in Library collaboration with local Pensacola libraries. This includes the first Tuesday of the month at the Pensacola Main Library (239 N. Spring St.) from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and the first Wednesday of the month at the Tryon Public Library (1200 Langley Ave.) from 10-11 a.m.

The Pensacola City Council worked with LSNF to approve a Community Development Block Grant agreement on Dec. 15, 2022, which will provide funds to help LSNF deliver legal services to income eligible Pensacola residents and support the creation and spread of these legal help community outreaches. LSNF is excited and proud to partner with the City of Pensacola to bring additional, much needed, legal outreaches to vulnerable residents and neighbors.
