About LSNF

What is Our Mission?

Legal Services of North Florida advocates for improved quality of life through high-caliber civil legal assistance for those unable to otherwise access such services.

What is Our Vision?

A clear pathway to justice for everyone in North Florida.

Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) is one of seven legal services organizations in Florida funded primarily by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC). LSC is a private, not-for-profit corporation created by an Act of Congress to ensure low-income people have equal access to the courts nationwide.

LSNF receives financial assistance primarily from the following sources: Legal Services Corporation, The Florida Bar Foundation, Department of Justice, Internal Revenue Service, and local Area Agencies on Aging and United Way. However, without the support of local private and government lawyers, LSNF would be unable to provide high-quality legal representation to the poor.

LSNF is not a government agency, but rather a not-for-profit organization serving only low-income individuals and families in sixteen counties across the central and western panhandle. LSNF never charges a fee for our services to a client.

Our program in North Florida works hard to meet the legal needs of children, elderly, victims of abuse, and those with disabilities. LSNF’s priority areas of representation include support for families; preserving the home; maintaining economic stability; safety, stability and health; and serving populations with special vulnerabilities. These translate to cases involving Family Law, Housing, Public Benefits, Employment, Education, and Health Care issues.
